Group Training
Group Training Organisations (GTO's) are the employer of apprentices and trainees, who as such are legally indentured to the GTO, in this case MIGATE. Each apprentice and trainee is "Hosted" to a "Host Trainer" (business) which provides the on-the-job workplace environment and training; benefiting both the Host Trainer (business) and the apprentice and trainee The group scheme has the facility to handle the administration work for the Host Trainer, for example, annual leave, off-the-job training, Superannuation and WorkCover, to name a few.
Benefits for Employers
The GTO is the legal indenturing employer of the Apprentice or Trainee, relieving the Host Trainer of the worry of committing to a four year contract.
The GTO has the facility to:
- Recruit apprentices and trainees (including school-based) professionally and cost-effectively;
- Rotate the apprentice/trainee in and out of small businesses when work is at a high or low, respectively;
- Provide a greater security veil for employment for the apprentice throughout their training;
- Provide a higher standard of employee through professional recruitment and screening processes;
- Provide a more cost-effective means of finding additional employees for your business;
- Take on the burden of the extensive paperwork and payroll in relation to your apprentice/trainee;
