Migate School-based Apprenticeships & Traineeships
School Based Traineeships and Apprenticeships give Year 10, 11, and 12 students the opportunity to receive up-to-date training, skills and knowledge, and upon successful completion a nationally recognised qualification.
In most cases, School Based Trainees and Apprentices can work one school-day per week as well as on weekends and during school holidays. Arrangements are flexible to suit the requirements of the trainee, the workplace, and the school. Students must complete a minimum of 48 days paid employment per year, with training and work impacting on the school timetable.

After completing a School Based Traineeship, you can then go on to complete a Full-Time Traineeship or Apprenticeship.
Things to consider before undertaking a Traineeship or Apprenticeship
If you are not sure which industry you would like to work in, you can always try work experience first, this gives you the option to try out a few industries before committing to a Traineeship.
You will need parental permission to complete a School Based Traineeship if you are less than 18 years.
A School Based Traineeship requires a commitment by yourself and your employer in the form of a signed Training Agreement.
