MIGATE Continues to Deliver Excellence
MIGATE (Mount Isa Group Apprenticeship and Employment Inc), the Apprenticeship Specialists, continues to deliver excellence to the Mount Isa region in North West Queensland, with recognition provided from various quarters over the past week.
MIGATE is a community-based not-for-profit Group Training Organisation (GTO) committed to delivering skilling and training awareness and outcomes.
Skilling Mount Isa Awards 2009 - Friday 9th October 2009
MIGATE was the winner of the Skilling Business Award - "Champion" Category at the inaugural Skilling Mount Isa Awards conducted at a breakfast ceremony at the Mount Isa Buffs Club on Friday 9th October 2009. Additionally, MIGATE Trainee Teniel Felton was the winner of the Skilling People Award - "Dedication" Category.
The awards are presented by Skilling Mount Isa, a collaborative partnership in the Mount Isa region of community, business, and vocational training sector stakeholders working toward the development and awareness of skilling and training in the Mount Isa region. 'Skilling Mount Isa' is a Commonwealth Government Enterprise Connect initiative facilitated by Australian Apprenticeship Centre - Queensland Apprenticeship Service.
Green Week 2009 - Friday 9th October 2009
MIGATE was awarded 1st prize in the Mount Isa Chamber of Commerce Green Week 2009 Awards - "Reducing your Carbon Footprint", for its enterprise and commitment toward the reduction of its carbon footprint.
The inaugural awards ceremony and awareness function was conducted on Friday afternoon 9th October 2009 at the spacious Mount Isa Chamber of Commerce boardroom, and is an initiative of the Chamber.
