CODE OF PRACTICEAs a registered member of Group Training Australia, Mount Isa Group Apprenticeship, Traineeship & Employment Inc. (MIGATE) has agreed to operate within the Standards set by Group Training Australia. Legislative RequirementsMIGATE will meet all legislative requirements of the State and Federal Government at all times. These include Group Training Australia Standards, Anti-Discrimination, Sexual Harassment, Workplace Bullying and Workplace Health & Safety Legislation. Quality Management FocusMIGATE is committed to providing a quality service to its Stakeholders. MIGATE focuses on feedback from its Stakeholders to ensure its continued improvement. Management and AdministrationMIGATE has policies, management strategies and insurance policies in place to ensure ethical and appropriate financial and administrative practices. All records kept on its stakeholders are managed securely and confidentially and are available for perusal by the relevant party on request. Access and EquityAll Apprentices, Trainees, labour hire, course participants and staff will be recruited in an ethical manner, consistent with the requirements of the required curriculum or National Training Package. The MIGATE Access and Equity Policy ensures that the selection process will be in accordance with equal opportunity legislation. Grievance IssuesMIGATE has a Grievance Policy which states that MIGATE will treat every grievance seriously and discretely and will ensure that they are dealt with in a timely manner with a view to reaching a positive outcome for all involved. Conflicts of InterestMIGATE will immediately deal with and eliminate any existing or potential situations that may be in conflict with the overall objectives and principles of MIGATE. Marketing and AdvertisingMIGATE logo and material associated with the company can only be used if verified by the Managing Director or Chairman of the Board. Service to our StakeholdersMIGATE will ensure management practices ensure effective client service. These will be appropriate to competence achieved and issued in accordance with national guidelines. MIGATE's quality focus includes a Grievance Policy, an Access & Equity Policy, Conflicts of Interest Policy, Anti-Discrimination Policy and a Sexual Harassment Policy. Where necessary arrangements will be made to assist those who may require numeracy and/or literacy support. MIGATE will endeavour to ensure that this information is distributed, understood and valued by all its Stakeholders. SanctionsMIGATE will honour all guarantees outlined in this Code of Practice. It understands that if it does not meet the obligations of this Code or supporting regulatory requirements, it may have its registration as a Group Training Company withdrawn.
